In this episode, John Constantine and his pal Richie try to save some college students from themselves. In a twist, this story starts with four college students using an Egyptian spell to open a doorway. Without warning, the students plane shift to a spooky old house with a dark secret. Dark is the operative word here, nobody in the world of Constantine is very fond of the light switch. This episode starts like I Know What You Did Last Summer with a bunch of teens crushing a man walking alone on a lonely stretch of road in the dead of night. What the teens don't know is that he's a member of the zombie nation and he has almost no resting pulse. But they're quick learners. When the coroner's office turns up a body, Liv gets the chance to try cheerleader brains, giving her a bit of pep in her step. This leads to a band called the AssHats and a few solid jokes. And more murders. And a big reveal as there is a nasty zombie-on-zombie fight in front of a witness.

This time around, Liv takes a bite out of crime by consuming the headmeat of a schizophrenic who hallucinates constantly. Olivia can't taste anything that's not super-spicy so she eats a snack that's Hellfire-flavored and the package has a little cartoon devil. Since her consumption of her corpse-of-the-week, she sees it move and hears it speak to her. The hallucinations continue leading to a couple of big reveals.

CAPE TELEVISION CERTIFIED SPOILER FREE REVIEW™

In this episode, Liv and her boss deal with the big character death that happened in the last episode. Liv does it by going into work and focusing on the job, which in this case is looking into the death of a local reporter who was close to stumbling onto a national story. Amusingly, the reporter was a bit of a drinker, so Liv gets her booze on in this chapter of the meta-story. The mystery is solid and there are some great twists including a hilarious sobriety test.
