CAPE TELEVISION CERTIFIED SPOILER FREE REVIEW™
The victim of the week this time around is the owner of a coffee shop who has a relentlessly cheery view of the world. So as she and Ravi and Clive walk around looking for a killer, Olivia sounds like she is channelling Mary Poppins. Meanwhile, the dark truth about Drake is revealed leading to a "WOW" moment.
Worlds collide in the back half of the episode as Blaine's modus operandi comes back to haunt him. Major has an unhappy meeting with an old fling. And the revelation of the killer is a bit unsatisfying, but in a good way. In spite of the good cheer, the tone of the episode is getting darker as the second season rolls on. Whether it is the arrival of a disturbing zombie creature or seeing someone in the cast turn into a brain-eater, the light mood has a dark core. I have a feeling this season will wrap on a very dark note.
iZombie is on The CW, and on Hulu on your Roku.
