This week, it's hot cop-on-cop action as a rogue police unit (is there any other kind) decides to go into the business of robbing drug dealers to pump up their retirement fund. Their actions bring them into contact with Team Arrow and fighting ensues. If it is interesting when your characters do the dumb thing for the right reason, then Arrow must be one of the most interesting shows on television.

The second half of the Fire Fly story is Gotham at its wounded best. A show about Batman without Batman has to focus on everything else and in this case, the focus is on the relationship between Jim (not Commissioner yet) Gordon and the teen who grows up to be Catwoman. The sticking point between the two is the villain of the piece, Fire Fly, the abused girl out for revenge with nothing but a little anger, an insulated suit and a flame thrower.

This episode of The Flash introduces the bad guy this season in the form of Zoom. Team Flash, acting more like Team Scoobie, comes up with a terrible plan to catch the speedster. This leads to one of the better action sequences of the season as Zoom and The Flash race across Central City in a cross country fist fight.

The stupidly violent episode opens with Theo Galavan using his leverage on Penguin to get him to commit a series of crimes. Being a smart man and a capitalist, Oswald hires a sub-contractor to do the actual work. Unfortunately, his organization takes a cash blow as a counting house is hit by the Gotham Police including the newly formed Strike Force Alpha. (Here’s a clue, if you're in a group called Something Something Alpha, then your inevitable failure has been factored into the overall battleplan).
