The story kicks off with a meeting of Penguin's various tribes of henchmen that looks less threatening than the final dinner table scene in the Ratt Round and Round video. It's such a high level meeting that Theo Galavan's malevolent sister wanders in with a summons for the waddling villain. Enter Captain Nathaniel Barnes played with some much needed good humor by Michael Chiklis. If he sticks around, he'd make an excellent Season 7 villain, like say the Egghhead.

Kicking off a long proud tradition of terrible things happening at charity events, the richest people in Gotham gather to fund a children's hospital only to find the gala overrun with psychopaths. It's a clever ruse by Theo Galvan, a mastermind type with revenge on his mind who wants to appear to be a hero to further his own devious schemes. It's the kind of plan that would only make sense in a place like Gotham, where a cop with a room temperature IQ is the smartest guy on the force.

The murder victim of the week this time around is a security guard who coaches a youth basketball team. David Anders as Blaine steals every single scene he is in. Liv gets the chance to deliver several fabulous motivational speeches that are just stuffed to the brim with coach-speak. When Clive, Liv, and Ravi to go the Tacoma morgue to track down a possible clue to the murder of the security guard, they meet Ravi's arch-nemesis. Detecting and clever dialogue ensue.
